1994 #11 - Alex Nino art & cover + 1st issue

1994 #11
1994 magazine v1 #11, 1980 - Continued from the similarly themed 1984 series, this first issue begins with a compellingly colorful Alex Nino cover. Inside, his brief three-page tale more or less meets expectations, but its his main feature that stands out. "East of Euthanasia" presents a world ravaged by destruction, populated by human survivors and their mutated counterparts. Nino's layouts are less experimental than usual, focusing instead on his renderings. From the opening spread to the concluding pages, his drawings are breathtakingly detailed. His mastery of line and form is on full impressive display. Interestingly, Nino's last panel purposely changes to a more graphic style as the main character enters a more sanitized world. This issue also includes artwork by Jose Ortiz. This is 1 of 17 1994 issues by Nino. /// key 1st issue
