X-men #120 - John Byrne art

X-men v1 #120 marvel comic book cover art by John Byrne
X-men #120
X-men v1 #120, 1979 - Their plane herded into Calgary by a mysterious storm, the X-men are confronted by Vindicator (last seen in X-men #109) and his team of Canadian super-heroes. John Byrne seems to relish drawing the title characters in his home country, including landmarks such as the Toronto-Dominion Mall and Calgary Tower. Amid the splendid artwork, the artist allows only glimpses of Alpha Flight, either in shadow or in their civilian identities. On Wolverine's capture on the last page, Byrne cleverly uses the wide panel format to demonstrate Sasquatch's strength as well as his massive arm. This issue includes cover art by Bob Budiansky and Terry Austin. This is 12 of 35 X-men issues by Byrne
